maybe they are just afraid and trying to make sure you both are sure
maybe they just don't understand
the real question i think tho doesn't lie in this : do you want to marry her ? does she want to marry you ? Is it something that will make both of you happy ? I'm not sure the rest really matters (although i get how it can be stressing)
this is your life, you know what's good for you 
take the advice and concern of people close to you, but don't let them prevent you from doing what feels right
