“I tend to overthink situations and read too much into people's words, actions and behaviour, especially when it comes to relationships. I get attached easily and struggle to let go, even when I know a situation is affecting my peace of mind. I keep revisiting past conversations and interactions, questioning whether I handled things correctly or whether I did something wrong. I also find myself seeking reassurance and validation because I sometimes struggle to trust my own decisions. This constant cycle of thinking affects my emotional well-being and sometimes distracts me from my studies and personal goals. I want to learn how to stop overanalysing everything, become emotionally independent and feel more secure within myself.”

This is my advice: you need to look within yourself, and spend some time with yourself asking why? what about the situation you happen to be in, even if it is small, effects you? are you afraid of being rejected? Are you afraid of being replaced? Once you are able to think on it and reflect, you can then take steps to deal with the issue. If you're afraid of being rejected, and you know why, you can take steps to get better at it. Ex: doing very low stakes things that you know you will get rejected from, so you get used to it, like exposure therapy. This will take some work, and most likely will be uncomfortable, but if you truly are honest and reflect on yourself, and figure it out, there are always steps to take to help.
