Someone once asked...

“Apparently every time I talk (not yelling) I sound annoyed and people keep pointing it out. How do I fix this?”

✦

Someone answered with kindness...

Stay calm and ground your energy. Find out the root cause for your anger and replace it with kindness and calmness. Do meditation, if meditation is not what you like, try doing things you like which will bring more peace and quietness. Ask yourself why you feel annoyed

I m soo hard to loveIts diwali today. As usual the arguments are still there. What I'm disappointed about is how my mom is always never happy with whatever I do. She tells me to learn something or do something and when I do it she doesn't react but when I can't do something she starts nagging me. She barely appreciates. Even though i know she loves me as much as I do but it doesn't hurt to appreciate ur own child for what they're good at and whatever they've achieved so far.I knew moving to a different country wasn’t going to be a wonderland. I wasn’t expecting everything to be easy or perfect. I knew there would be challenges, uncomfortable situations and days when things wouldn’t go as planned. I mentally prepared myself for that before making the decision to leave. But I guess some experiences are difficult to prepare for. The subtle racism, the little comments, the looks and certain interactions that make you feel different or unwelcome. It’s not always direct, and sometimes it’s difficult to explain why something bothered you, but it stays with you. On top of that, things haven’t really turned out the way I imagined. I’ve been feeling increasingly lonely, and navigating everything on my own can be mentally exhausting. It’s not that I expected life abroad to be perfect; I knew it would take effort to build a life here. But I didn’t expect certain experiences to affect me this much. I’m trying to adapt, keep going and not let individual incidents get to me, but some days it’s just a lot to process. I suppose I’m struggling more with the emotional side of this experience than I ever anticipated.
