Someone answered with kindness...
if you refer to a road, some might say “the chicken”. If you refer to the veil of death, well, some still might say that. But in more seriousness, it may be impossible to know. Others believe there is nothing beyond. Past the ceasing of brain and heart lies nothing; no though or care, for thoughts are all we are. This idea can seem depressing to many. Many believe in an afterlife, a spirit world of finer matter where souls have departed from their mortal frames or perhaps have yet to enter into one. A return to a more primal, pure state, or perhaps a metamorphosis by which to dwell in greater fullness using the wisdom gained in mortal life. This idea can seem foolish to many. Still others believe in a never ending cycle of reincarnation and spiritual growth, or that all things are the same thing in different stages of a single thread of existence, to someday become something grand. If it is impossible to know, then choose. Choose to believe in a way that will guide you to uplift yourself and the most souls around you. In the end, that may have the best chance of creating joy regardless of lies beyond.
