“Hi stranger :) oke so...I have alot of problems like not in a relationship but my family and myself....I lost my father when I was 16 and now I'm 18....when I was 16 i was really focused on my exams becoz those exams are very important for my college so I actually had time to understand the situations....in a traumatic way my dad passed away...it was 44 days of icu...and the last eye contact i will never ever forget that....but now being 18 I cry everyday like, idk after my dad gone i started to think...no one is permanent... everyone will go one day...but still when I feel like I'm the least fav in friends group I feel really lonely like...I just cry thinking about this and end up crying for my dad...like being a daddy's girl and losing dad....is really painfull...like I can't move on or I can't just work for my present thinking what if my father was here...I just miss him...I feel like I'm stuck in that phase...and I can't even share this to anyone...becoz like when I say these things to my frnds I feel like,am i creating scene?and my mom she isn't actually having a good mental health either....and yea we have kinda bad relationship between us....so idk just say me how to not feel stuck and how should I be not distracted by the past, and whenever I think of those 44 days...it gives me anxiety”

Someone answered with kindness...
First of all, you’re not creating a scene by expressing your feelings. You lost your dad at such a young age, and you don’t have to expect yourself to just move on. Maybe now that you’re older, you’re finally processing emotions you couldn’t process back then.
Also, please don’t measure your importance by how your friends treat you. You deserve to feel loved, included and valued. You’re not asking for too much.
Please don’t be so hard on yourself. You don’t have to stop missing your dad to move forward in life. Both can coexist. And if those memories of the ICU are causing you anxiety every day, please consider talking to a grief counsellor. You don’t have to carry all of this by yourself.❤️
