Not sure what you mean by reactionary I will assume you are talking about how people are adverse to new things but claim to accept all things. I think it’s just human nature to question change but to be progressive is to understand that there is value in the differences. The problem also comes from that if you truly want to accept and tolerate all you must also accept and tolerate those who wish to destroy what you are trying to build.
