Inflation and monetary debasement are in the current financial system an inevitability due to the balance of incentives between politicians, and voters. Ultimately we have monetary systems without any upper limit to how much money there can be, there is no hard cap, or true denominators, any physical or other limitation. Inevitably politicians to win elections are incentivised to promise more and more to voters, to spend more and more, and act in increasingly corrupt and profligate ways. Voters do not immediately see the hidden cost of inflation, which is a long term stealth tax. So I think unless there is a fundamental change in the monetary system inflation / debasement will continue.
