It's so frustrating when that happens, and your feelings are totally valid. Sometimes people do act out when they go through difficult times, and their defensive mechanism is to be mean and close up, and build defensive walls. But that doesn't make it okay for them to treat others that way or ignore those who are trying to be nice. Even if they don't realize the impact they are having. Sometimes it blinds the way they see things. Maybe they're mad at the world for what has gone wrong in their life. Some people think everyone is the same after their experiences. But nobody is perfect; sometimes people have a limit, and when they reach it, they can react meanly and ignore. And though it hurts people, sometimes they may or may not realize it. They may or may not try to fix it in time, but it can be late sometimes. I'm not trying to defend them, but sometimes there can be misunderstandings. Understanding where they might be coming from doesn't mean you have to accept being treated poorly, but it helps explain why they push good people away. I hope I could help.
