Someone once asked...
Someone answered with kindness...
A man came to see me once, well-dressed, successful, nothing visibly broken in his life. He said, "I have everything I planned for. So why does it feel like no one's home?" I asked him when he'd last done something with no goal attached — not for health, not for career, not for anyone to see. He thought for a long time and couldn't answer. Emptiness isn't always a wound. Sometimes it's just space where a real want used to be, before you replaced it with a checklist. The fix isn't finding one big thing to fill it. It's noticing what you actually feel, without immediately managing it.
