Someone once asked...

Why do I always think everyone is judging me?

Someone answered with kindness...

Watch a room sometime — really watch it. Everyone's checking their phone, worrying about what they said five minutes ago, running through their own to-do list. Almost no one is thinking about you. I know that's supposed to be comforting, but I get why it sometimes isn't — being invisible can sting just as much as being judged. Maybe the real question isn't "are they judging me," but "why does their opinion carry so much weight in the first place." That's a longer conversation. But it starts with noticing: the courtroom in your head has an audience of one.
