Someone once asked...
Someone answered with kindness...
A young monk once complained to me that everyone his age had already found their path, and he was still sweeping floors. I told him I was fifty before I understood anything I now teach with confidence. He looked unconvinced, the way you look at someone older telling you time isn't what you think it is. There's no shared clock. The wedding, the promotion, the house — those are other people's markers, borrowed and mistaken for your own. You're not behind. You're just reading a map that was never drawn for your road.
