Why can't we ever escape the loop of material things like career and all. It's true that if you don't sacrifice for what u wany,then what u want becomes the sacrifice. But to what extent do we need to give up our joy for the future us? Because there will always be important things in our life, so does that mean we just do something productive 24/7? Why are 17 year old under so much pressure to get settled and with a good job in the next 5 years. Why are children not treated like children anymore

I understand your concern, and i really understand your frustration as well. We're not asked to sacrifice what we love, though most of the times it seems that way. You are 17, you are under no obligation to be productive 24/7. Getting a good job and being settled should be your priority, ofcourse, but that doesn't mean you have to give up on everything that you like. Sometimes, things get hard, but if we try our best to manage our time efficiently, you'll most probably be able to do the things you like, simultaneously while working towards your goal. I would never go by "work it until you make it and enjoy all you like" because that, truly is a lie. You must work hard, but not at the cost of your happiness and mental health. Make sure to save some time for yourself, it doesn't have to be alot, maybe an hour or 30 mins of doing things you like, makes a significant change. You've come so far and I'm so incredibly proud of you. If you don't have it all figured out by now, it's completely alright, you're not alone. Take it slow, don't lose yourself.
