Someone once asked...
Someone answered with kindness...
A woman once described her day off to me — she'd cleaned the house, answered emails "just in case," and gone for a run she didn't want to go on. I asked what she'd actually rested from. She paused. "I don't think I know how." Some of us were taught that rest has to be earned, and the bill never actually clears. Free time starts to feel like a test you might fail. Relaxing isn't something that happens automatically once the schedule clears — it's a skill, and like any skill, it feels clumsy and undeserved at first.
