why should they? what if your needs are insatiable? in any case, it's not their problem that they gave you the love they could.

I think love should be freely given and thankfully received. If you have a set expectation about the love you need to receive, it will never be true love. That doesn't mean people cannot care for you and give you caring attention, which is perhaps what you need. But I don't believe that would be love.
