“When my friend came out i was going out of my way to be supportive and asking if that stuff was okay for me to do. I was their most supportive friend at school and they werent excepted at home. We were really close(and clearly both accepting of queer identities) and it felt weird they had never mentioned anything about their identity to me before they came out at school. They always seemed nuetral to my support, and would just say "sure" or dismissively "okay." When anyone else did something similarly supportive, i could see on their face that it made them really think and they were clearly happy. When i came out to them they gaslit me that i was misinterpreting my expierences while also outing me.
Ive started to think that them acting indiffferent to my affection/support is a red flag. Like, i think i shouldve taken note that they didnt confide in me and didnt seem to care about being supported by their bff, and i shouldve gone "oh, that means theyll out me if i come out to them." I just really regret coming out to them and i think my brain is overanalyzing. Is it a red flag for your friend to not care if you support them?
(reposting since i phrased the last one badly)”

Someone answered with kindness...
no it not a red flag cause if they don't care they don't care if your straight or gay and they just care about you as a person no who you get freaky with or who you want to kiss cause it none of they business
