Someone once asked...

“The world is quite unfair. Why? And no I know that it’s the fault of how our politics are and the systems but…why? Hoe come we aren’t past that yet. Why do bad people get so much power to shape our world?”

Someone answered with kindness...

Societies, unfortunately, tend to go in circles. It'll start off where people are fairly happy. We make progress on things like human rights, living conditions get better, the economy is booming. It seems like we're doing super well, and the exact right people are in charge. But eventually, one bad person (or a small group) will start to appeal to a weak spot in current politics, and start by aiming their policies there to attract people to their cause. Certain members of the population will start to believe them and support them, which can be aided by lack of education (especially in history/politics), and hatred towards minorities (which has existed for a long time, unfortunately). Eventually, the person/group gains more power as their following rises, and then you end up in this state. This is why so many people say education (especially highschool and even college education) is so important, and why schools should be well funded and looked after. That's where people begin to learn about the mistakes of our past, and how we as a society can, perhaps, not continue to go around in that cycle again.
