Someone once asked...

“Someone in my class is autistic, and me and my friends try to be nice to him a include him when others don’t cause he’s annoying a lot sometimes, but he follows us everywhere when we don’t want him to. And when we tell him to go, he doesn’t get what we’re talking about and stays. We’re probably one of the only people who let him hang out with us, but we need some privacy sometimes. What do I do?”

Honestly, you should just maybe have him there because you never know what these type of people may be going through and if he’s kind about it then it’s fine but if he’s weird you should set boundaries , clear ones that he should be able to get, Always stay positive :)

Try to find something you actually like doing with them. It's mean to leave them but it's also mean to pretend to be their friend. also, autistic people need clear boundaries, try to say them without metaphors and slang. If you have the oppurtunity you could do a presentation on autism spectrum so that people understand how to interact with them better.

Find a common interest that you all like talking about or find someone else who will. it's mean to leave them alone but it's also mean to pretend to be their friend. maybe do a presentation on autism spectrum if you get the oppurtiniuty so people are less ableist to them.
