Someone once asked...

“So, it's about my recent relationship. It was in September. I wasn't looking for any relationship but a guy texted me and I was replying and he treated me so well that I gave him a chance. I wasn't in love with anyone in my love even tho I dated but this time it was different. I wanted to be with him, marry him, I trusted him. But all of a sudden he changed and it feels like betrayal. When we were together I thought what he felt was genuine but he doesn't really care, not a single regret that he feels, not even a sign that he misses me. Also now I think he likes one of his female friends. It hurts how can someone change so easily? Now my question is how do I get over it? It's too much to take. Everyday, whatever I do all of a sudden I get the flashbacks of how badly I got played.”

I don't think you got necessarily played and I know this sounds upsetting but hear me out. This guy you really liked and you thought was the one turned out not to be. Think of it more as a case study of some sorts. You didn't get the affection you wanted back and looking through what you wrote out it looks like it didn't end out the worst it could've. You could've actually married this guy and had a family before he had the balls to realise that he didn't like you the way he thought he did and the way you want him to. If anything it's a relief it ended before there was irreversible damage done. It's more of a learning lesson. No experts you to know how to pick out a perfect watermelon if you've never picked out watermelon. You try out first and it's probablynot gonna be the best watermelonyou had and will be disappointed but everyone knows that not all watermrlon sucks and you'll need to learn jow to pick better ones. Find out what went wrong. Make adjustments and get better. You'll think every time that it was definitely the best watermelon you picked out until you pick out a better one next time and wonder what you even liked in the last one. This guy is the last relationship you'll ever have. They'll be better 'watermelons' you'll learn to pick out and try. Take this as learning point for what to look out for next time you meet someone to hopefully find the improvements you're looking for. Don't worry too much over one butter watermelon. You'll learn how to pick sweeter one's cause that's the way the human brain works. Anyways wishing you lots of luck and love. From a friend across the globe :) *Virtual hug*
