“So, I was in a relationship with a guy, and initially, everything was going well. We both got emotionally attached, and things became serious between us. He expressed his feelings, and eventually, I started seeing him as someone I genuinely wanted a future with.
But gradually, things started getting complicated because of trust issues, insecurities and misunderstandings.
He had some trust issues because of his past experiences with another girl. I had also told him about my past, including someone I was emotionally attached to before him and some male friends I had known even before our relationship.
One major misunderstanding happened involving one of my male friends.
I had already been talking to this friend through his old Instagram ID. We had previous conversations there. Later, my friend created a new Instagram ID, and I started talking to him through that account. When my boyfriend saw conversations with this new ID, he wondered who this person was and assumed it might be someone new.
I had already shared my Instagram password with him, so he could access my account and see my conversations. But he didn't recognise that the new ID belonged to the same friend I had already been talking to.
I was talking to my friend casually, just like I used to before. I genuinely had no different intentions. The reels and interactions also happened for the first time, and honestly, I don't know what my friend intended through those reels.
When this misunderstanding happened, I literally blocked my own friend because I didn't want things to get worse between us.
There were other misunderstandings involving Instagram, followers and interactions too. Sometimes he would get insecure, say that I had many options, or even suggest that we should leave each other. Later, he would apologise.
At one point, he asked me not to talk to him for a week because he wanted to focus on his exams and future. He deactivated his Instagram account, saying he didn't need anyone and couldn't trust anyone, but activated it again the next day.
Recently, he told me that he has a crush on a girl in his class. Initially, he didn't want to tell me who she was, saying it was for my benefit. Later, he told me that they hadn't even talked, but he might talk to her.
I told him that I couldn't force him. If he likes someone else, I can't stop him from talking to her.
But at the same time, he says things like "You are not nothing to me" and that he really liked me.
And honestly, I feel like he's confused himself.
Yesterday, I sent him a reel and jokingly said, "Send this to your bestie." He literally got annoyed and replied, "Haan bhej dunga, don't worry." Even when I jokingly link him with another girl, he gets irritated.
When I confronted him about following random girls, he said he had unfollowed them and deactivated his account, but activated it again the next day.
Our conversations have also become complicated. During the daytime, we barely talk because of college, but whenever we talk at night, somehow the conversations turn into arguments or misunderstandings. I don't know why this keeps happening.
I genuinely don't understand what he wants anymore. If he is developing feelings for someone else, why does he still react emotionally when I joke about him with another girl? Why does he say I'm not nothing to him while also telling me about his new crush?
I still care about him, but all of this really hurts. I don't want to force him to choose me, but I also don't want to keep waiting without knowing where I stand.
Should I give him time and space to figure out his feelings, or am I just holding on to someone who is slowly moving on?”

Someone answered with kindness...
Trust me, I'm facing the same thing but its just he doesn't have crush on any girl.
Girl very honestly we both are stuck. Ig you've to move on because this trust issues wont arise in a very promising relationship maybe it wasnt that promising in your case and he clearly mentioned he has crush on someone else while he literally has u.
And probably he is brought up your male friends things because he didn't wanted to feel guilty that he has crush on someone while being with u.
Move on..take your time, tell him clearly and just live your life...there's so much more to see in life. Take care
