Someone answered with kindness...

First of all, I want you to take a deep breath. I read everything you wrote,I'm not going to give you any timetable or tell you to watch motivational videos because I think you already know what you're supposed to do. You know you need to study, you know you're wasting time, you know your screen time is affecting you, and you know you aren't giving this preparation your best. But knowing all of this and actually changing it are two different things. I want you to understand something. You're 20 something(if am not wrong) You're at an age where the decisions you make, the habits you build and the efforts you put into your life can genuinely shape your future. And I don't say this to scare you, but the world isn't going to stop and wait for us to figure things out. Especially when you're preparing for a competitive examination like NEET, you cannot afford to keep postponing your efforts and hoping things will magically fall into place. You want an MBBS or BDS seat in a government college, right? Then you have to ask yourself whether your everyday actions are taking you closer to that dream. Not your intentions, not the motivational videos you've watched, not the beautiful plans you've made. YOUR ACTUAL ACTIONS. And please, stop romanticising preparation. Watching study reels, saving study schedules, making pretty notes, watching people study for 14 hours and constantly searching for the perfect strategy will not get you a seat. Sitting with your NCERT, solving those difficult questions, revising the same chapter for the fifth time and correcting your mistakes will. You don't have to study for 14 hours. You don't have to become the most disciplined person overnight. But you absolutely NEED to start showing up for yourself every single day. And about your breakup, I want to tell you something. Please don't feel guilty for being affected by it. You're human. You're allowed to miss someone, feel hurt, cry, have difficult days and feel emotionally exhausted. Don't suppress everything and pretend you're okay. But, please don't let something that has already hurt you take away your future as well. You have so much more to experience in life. You have dreams beyond that relationship. You have a version of yourself waiting to be discovered. And about feeling numb, I understand that sometimes you become so aware of your mistakes that you almost get tired of hearing yourself think about them. You feel guilty for not studying, then you escape into your phone, then you feel guilty again, and the cycle repeats. So, i will say stop punishing yourself for the days you've wasted. You cannot go back and recover them. What you can do is make sure you don't keep wasting the days you still have. I also want you to stop treating every mock score as a judgement of your worth. Your marks tell you where you stand academically at that moment, not what you're capable of becoming. But don't use that as an excuse to ignore your weaknesses either. Learn from every test. Let every wrong answer teach you something. Six months might sound like a lot, but trust me, time moves ridiculously fast. One day you'll wake up and realise that the examination is just around the corner. I don't want you to reach that day wishing you had taken these six months more seriously. And listen, you don't need to become a completely different person tomorrow. Just start becoming a little more responsible towards your own dreams. Some days will be productive, some won't. Some days you'll feel confident, some days you'll question everything. That's life. Consistency doesn't mean never having bad days. It means not allowing one bad day to turn into an entire bad week. PLEASE DONT WAIT FOR A MAGICAL FEELING OF MOTIVATION. It might never come. Sometimes you just have to put your phone down, open that book and begin. Even when you don't feel like it. One day, I want you to be able to look back and say that you genuinely gave yourself a chance. Not that you were perfect, not that you never wasted time, but that you tried with everything you had. And please remember, getting an MBBS seat would be wonderful, but your worth as a human being is not determined by an entrance examination. Give this dream your absolute best, without making your entire existence depend on one result. You still have time. You still have a chance. But now you need to start acting like your dreams matter to you. And please, for once, be kinder to yourself, but also be stricter with yourself. Sending you lots of love. May God make you one of those people who look back and feel grateful that they didn't give up on themselves.... 🤍
