Someone once asked...

“R was my best friend in UG. Like BEST best friend. We had a whole friend group of 3 - me, R, and S. But R and I were the closest. We did everything together. We even used to plan her future wedding for fun. She always used to say she doesn't want to get married early, doesn't even want to get married at all. Then PG. Me and S joined same college, R went to different college. We drifted a bit obviously, I got closer to S, but I still talked to R. I thought we were still good. I completed PG one year back. This Sunday I was scrolling Instagram and I see R's wedding photo on her school friend's story with "Happy Married Life". I was just numb. My best friend got married and I didn't even know. I texted S to ask if she knew, and she said yes. She knew. She didn't tell me anything. No text, no call, not even a formal invite. I found out from a random story. I kept thinking should I text her and ask why. But honestly? I don't even want to. Because I know she won't respond. And I don't want to put myself through that again. It just hurts how easily someone can erase you when you thought you meant so much to them. I was there for all her wedding planning delusions and she didn't even think I deserved a one line text. Idk. Just needed to get this out. Has anyone else had a friendship end like this without any closure?”

Someone answered with kindness...

Yeahhh it hurts bro when someone leaves without a closure like we were nothing for them but maybe she has her own reasons. If u really want to know the reason like this thing uk wil most probably bother u in the future then u can just ask her casually, not in the way that u want an explanation, just casually like hey... heard u are getting married and congratulate her but if u know that u will heal urself, no need to ask coz it's not necessary that ppl value u as much as u value them. Life happens but moving on is the ultimate goal....
