I’m so sorry to hear that you have it harder than most. I would reach out if you can, but that person that you were isn’t gone just lost and in time will find its way back to you. Take it one day at a time and leave the house to study in a cafe or visit friends I promise it does get better and that the world is a better place with you in it :)

Brother, I won't say that I have felt what you feel. I won't give you some typical advice I'll just say what you already but want someone else to remind you.... They are adults, they have lived their life, you father abuses your mother that's terrific and I can understand even if you want to you can't help her everytime, so just for her and for the sake of your dreams, study hard... If it's not possible to study at home then study at your college library, when I used to get irritated at my home and I wanted go somewhere quiet I used to either go to library or a temple or the worst place but actually a good place a railway station, there are 100's of things going on on a station so you just get distracted from all the chaos of your mind, Railway Chaos cancelling home chaos, Just pic a quiet corner and stay there for a sometime study there if you can. Just know that this battle will only finish when you achieve your goals

So u have got an abusive father, and u feel sorry for ur mom and u r preparing for JEE. But are u being forced by ur parents for that? Have u ever tried to confront ur father for what he does to ur mom and u? If u really want to clear JEE then work hard ( might sound too difficult in an abusive household though) . But if u r being forced then u should confront ur parents and do something that gurantees work and money. Government jobs are a good choice. And haven't u and ur mom talked to ur maternal relatives about the abuse? Talk to them or have someone live with u to avoid abuse. That's all I can say. I'm 20 myself. I prepared JEE last year ,it didn't workout. But CUET did work out. CUET is also a good choice. I hope u do well and try to confront. Best of luck out there buddy 🤞
