“My boyfriend has anger issues. And whenever he gets angry he says... Keep quiet or I'll beat you or I'll smack you. This disturbs me a lot. I have talked to him that this is making me uncomfortable to which he says that he has a very bad anger issue and if he's really mad and he asks me to not bother him I should do that else he might say really mean things to me. im sure that you do love him, but that man clearly doesn't love you as much as you love him. i know that you might want to stay with him because of the good moments, but threats like this are almost always things that actually do end up happening. no matter how angry someone gets, they should not be wanting to put their hands on their partner. my advice would be to leave him, because nothing is worth being verbally, physically, or mentally abused. though it might have not happened just yet, its better to not take the risk and stay with him for any longer. if you feel unsafe, you can always search for resources in your area and report to the authorities.
