Someone once asked...

Master, others’ opinions easily disturb my mood. How can I stay unaffected by outside voices?

Someone answered with kindness...

If you treat every casual comment as a weight to carry, you will always walk with a heavy heart. People see only a fragment of your life; they cannot grasp your whole journey. Filter useful advice, and let idle remarks drift away. Your life belongs to you alone. You do not need everyone to understand or agree with you. Can you give me some practical advice on how to stay unaffected by outside voices? How can I build my own inner strength and confidence? What are some ways to improve my self-awareness and emotional intelligence?

Another soul answered...

It’s human to feel stirred by what others say‑we are wired to care about being seen well. The truth is, most people’s opinions are shaped by their own fears, biases and life experiences, not by who you truly are. Their words tell far more about them than about you. You cannot shut outside voices out completely, and you don’t have to. What you can do is stop handing them the remote control of your mood. Remind yourself gently: I get to decide what value I give to a comment. If it’s constructive, take it; if it’s just noise, let it pass through you without taking root inside your heart. Your peace lives inside yourself, not in other people’s approval.
