Someone once asked...

“Losing him meant losing the very foundation of my life. He was the quiet strength I leaned on during every storm and the first person I wanted to share every single joy with. Waking up to a silent house still feels like a harsh reality I am not ready to accept. People tell me I am strong, but they do not see how terrifying it is to navigate this world without the man who made everything make sense. Every day is an exhausting effort to stand upright when my entire support system has been swept away. I just want my best friend back. 💔”

Someone answered with kindness...

I am so so sorry. I know the words I say here will never be nearly enough, but I just want to say the love you shared is never gone. There will always be ways for you to be reminded of his love, and don't feel wrong or silly when you see that. The weakness, fear, and exhaustion you feel is not wrong, it is okay to hurt. It is okay to be mad at the world, at God, at anyone. It is okay to struggle, because what is grief if not love persevering? Your love will never be wasted or lost, and his love for you will never be wasted or lost either. I hope you are able to find the peace you are looking for, and I hope you never forget how loved you were and are forever by him. And how I am sure he believed that the world is a better place because you are in it. I believe the world is better with you in it, and his love will always live on in you as long as you are here.
