Someone once asked...

“Lately, I’ve been finding it really difficult to deal with the isolation and everything that comes with it. I feel like I’m missing out on the usual college experiences, making friends, having a social life and just enjoying this phase of life. With the pressure of pursuing a professional course alongside college, I often feel disconnected and alone. It’s not that I don’t want to work hard for my goals, but sometimes the sacrifices and the feeling of being isolated get overwhelming. I just wish I could balance both my ambitions and having a normal, enjoyable college life.”

Sometimes, to succeed in one area you must sacrifice in another. But, and I don't want to discourage you. Do not sacrifice your social life for more education or job opportunities. No one looks back at the end of their life wishing they had worked more, but they often look back wishing they had spent more time with their friends and family. You are young, and you have a lot of life left. Don't throw away your career opportunities, but also do not throw away your social opportunities. The relationships in your life will mean more than any job ever could. I believe in you, you will find the balance and you will find the happiness you seek. It may not be easy but it will be good.
