I think two things can be true at once; we could all be too attached to the algorithm, basing our lives off of it in lots of ways, and we could also live in a deeply flawed society. The important thing, in my mind, is that you don't use what you see online to inform yourself on what's happening in real life. Don't believe that everyone is a certain way of believes a certain thing because that's how everyone is online. Don't just believe a video that tries to educate you without sources. Do your own research outside of social media (using reliable sources--well written research papers, trustworthy websites/authors, etc) and regularly stay informed on what's going on in the world around you (via the news). You used the example of men in the patriarchy, too, and I want to talk about that. I do think the patriarchy tends to seep into every aspect of our lives, even in ways we can't see. So, naturally, a large majority of men will live under a patriarchal mindset. This isn't to say they are actively misogynistic, but they can, more passively, hold misogyistic beliefs and uphold the broken system that is the patriarchy. Still, I think this is a subject you should do your own research on and form your own conclusions about.
