Someone once asked...

Is there a moral imperative to ensure human survival?

Someone answered with kindness...

There is a human imperative to perpetuate humanity.

Another soul answered...

As opposed to what? If you mean, "Would it be bad if everyone in the world was killed tomorrow?" then the answer is obvious.

Another soul answered...

I think there is, as long as you assume humans are (or will become) on average a force for good in this universe. For all of our faults, we spend a lot of time reflecting on our past and trying to do better. The processes for that are very much in need of refinement, but I think we'll make it.
