Probably not. Try to keep in mind that better weapons also drive the invention of better shields and armor, so over time people get better at identifying generated content and determining its inaccuracy. There are detectors available that detect LLM emissions with a 99% accuracy! If you mean LLMs/LDMs specifically, anyways. Ultimately the issue is the social aspects (how the technology is used), rather than the invention or existence of it. Any society that can withstand social problems can withstand technological advancement just fine :)
