“I'm unsure about my future. I'm in grade 12 and ever since I was in grade 8, I have been thinking of what kind of career I want. at first it was a doctor, then an air hostess, a therapist, a cook, a lawyer, a diplomat, a nurse and I really have considered these as my career options but the more I think about them, the more unsure I become. I have started feeling like I don't have dreams or any goals anymore. it's becoming so overwhelming and exhausting that I don't know what to do. I have decide now because next year, I would have to go to uni but I don't wanna study something I regret later and I'm not sure if I wanna take a gap year because if I do, my mother might think I'm not interested in studying. she always says that I'm gonna look for a good man to marry you and I should start looking in advance so I can find the one once you are done with 12 but I don't wanna marry, not now and not in the upcoming years. and one of my biggest dream is to travel the world but I had to give up on the dream of becoming an air hostess because of my height but travelling the world has been my dream for so so long and I just wanna get out of this place. Pakistan is not the best country for my dreams and especially as a woman, you start getting limited to just marriage. is there a way to find what I really want?”

Hey ik hiw it feels I also chose my career before passing 12th and I'm also not gonna study in india. Go anywhere than studying in ur country. I'd say lithuania it's affordable too. And decide asap what will benefit u in future.

First of all, you dont have to figure everything out right now. I know its exhausting. When i was in 12th grade, i had no clue either. Now, im in college 1st year. I took a course that seemed better for the future and with good job opportunities and good salary. I didnt take it because i was interested. And.. I dont really regret it either. You know whatt... you can become a doctor and still travel the world. You can become a lawyer, a cook, anythingggg and STILL travel the world. Your life, your decisions. Its okay to take your time and change your mind. BUT, dont let that fear of making the wrong decision stop u from making anyyy decision at all. Becoming an airhostess was one way to travel the world, but not the ONLYYY wayy. Dont choose an university course just because its prestigious. Research about the course, subjects, job opportunities, lifestyle, etc. BUILD SKILLS. It can be anything like.... communication skills, coding, writing and research, languages. U dont need to know your career now. But you can start preparing for the kind of life you want.
