Someone once asked...

“I'm struggling with almost every aspect of my life, and I genuinely don't know what to do anymore. My mother passed away, and my father remarried. His second wife treats us badly, constantly speaks negatively about us, and there's always conflict at home. My father is extremely strict, frequently shouts, controls my clothing and freedom, and I don't feel comfortable being myself. My relationship with my siblings is difficult too. My elder sister became friends with my former best friend of five years. They talk badly about me, even in front of me, and my ex-best friend shares embarrassing pictures of me in group chats to mock me. I don't even have my own room or privacy. I desperately want to move out, but I have no savings or stable income. I'm also worried about my younger siblings, especially my younger brother, who struggles with depression. I don't want to leave them behind. I joined a CVG course mainly to escape staying at home, meet people and make friends, but I haven't connected with anyone and genuinely dislike the fashion-related work. I'm also struggling with my BSCS degree at Virtual University. My mental health is getting worse. I struggle with anxiety, depression, loneliness and sometimes thoughts of not wanting to live. My family doesn't take mental health seriously, so accessing therapy feels almost impossible. I have one amazing online friend who motivates me, but she has her own mental health struggles. I hide my problems because I don't want to burden her. I desperately want to meet her, but my father doesn't allow it. I also have a cat who recently started having blood in his stool. I'm extremely worried, but I cannot afford a vet, and my brother refuses to help. I'm trying to become financially independent through video editing and online clients, but I don't own a laptop. I can only use my sister's laptop for around four hours on weekdays and barely at all on weekends. I also cannot freely pursue offline work. I feel like I have potential, but my circumstances keep holding me back. I want to earn money, move out, access therapy and build a peaceful life. However, I'm scared that leaving home won't automatically heal everything I've experienced. What should I do? How can I become financially independent while making sure my younger siblings are okay? I couldn't share every detail here, but if you're genuinely concerned and would like to talk, I'm open to connecting privately on Instagram or another platform. I really need someone to listen and offer honest, practical advice.”

Someone answered with kindness...

PLEASE please please do not take your life!!!! I would love to help, so I will give my 2 cents. <3 It sounds to me like you have 3 main problems. 1-your environment is abusive and unsupportive and holds you back 2-you don't have access to the financial means to get yourself out of that situation 3-even if you did, you have people that you cannot leave behind without hurting both yourself and them. This is a really tricky situation to be in, there is not much I can do to help, so I will do my best. Problem 1: abusive environment This is probably the biggest problem and is what your other problems stem from, so if you can get some leverage here, your other situations might get a bit better. Since you don't have a lot of privacy, there is not much you can do to foster a good environment at home, so try to find even more things you can do outside the home. Try volunteering at food handout places, markets, care and service. By volunteering at these places, you can not only build meaningful relationships with people who can build you up, but also get outside the home and away from everything, and you can find places where you can receive food if you are able to get your financial situation up. Try finding free clubs of people who like similar things to you, but where you can also learn skills, maybe things like art clubs, lapidary clubs, public speaking clubs ect. This gives you free training in skills you can apply to a future job. Try journaling and letting all of your feelings out on paper. If yo don't feel safe talking to other people, talk to the paper and let everything out. This can relieve some pent-up emotions. Problem 2: Fincancial situation. This is kinda tricky because I don;t know any specifics, but the solutions above could help you here. By building connections, you can learn about places where other people work and might be able to get recommendations from them to get meaningful work?? Use your support system that you built above to climb the ladder slowly. (eg, volunteering at a cooking centre for homeless people could get you the skills and a job and a place where they need cooks or chefs or going to a public speaking club and using those skills to to management or training) These are just some suggestions; I don't know how effective they could be??? Problem 3: Leaving brother behind Not realy something you can solve, but you can try to get him to come along to the same clubs and things as you to learn new skills and build a better relationship so you guys can become a team, doubling your working potential so you could both team up to support each other!! Please just remember that for every mean, abusive and hurtful person, there is someone who wants to help and bring beauty into the world!!! I hope this helps, <3
