“I'm struggling with almost every aspect of my life, and honestly, I don't know where to start fixing things anymore.
My mother passed away, and my father remarried. Since then, there's been constant conflict at home. His second wife treats us badly and speaks negatively about us. My father is extremely strict, constantly shouts, controls my clothing and freedom, and I rarely feel comfortable being myself.
My relationship with my siblings isn't good either. My elder sister became friends with my former best friend of five years. They talk badly about me, sometimes right in front of me, and my ex-best friend shares embarrassing pictures of me in group chats to make fun of me. I don't even have my own room or any real privacy.
I desperately want to move out and become independent, but I have no stable income or savings. I'm also worried about my younger siblings, especially my younger brother, who struggles with depression too. I don't want to leave them behind or feel like I'm abandoning them.
I joined a CVG course mainly because I wanted to get out of the house, meet people and make friends. Unfortunately, I haven't connected with anyone, and I genuinely dislike the fashion-related work. I'm also struggling with my BSCS degree at Virtual University.
My mental health has been getting worse. I struggle with anxiety, depression and loneliness, and sometimes I have thoughts of not wanting to live. My family doesn't take mental health seriously, so getting professional help or therapy feels almost impossible.
I have one amazing online friend who motivates me, but she has her own mental health struggles. I hide a lot of my problems because I don't want to make things harder for her. I really want to meet her someday, but my father doesn't allow it.
I also have a cat who recently started having blood in his stool. I'm extremely worried about him, but I cannot afford a vet, and my brother refuses to help.
One of my biggest concerns right now is earning money and becoming financially independent. I've started learning video editing and looking for online clients, but I keep questioning whether it's even worth pursuing. With AI tools becoming so advanced, people can now generate impressive edits using AI and cloud-based tools. Sometimes I feel like no matter how much time I spend learning editing, it might not lead anywhere, especially when I see how quickly AI is changing the industry.
I also don't own a laptop. I can only use my sister's laptop for around four hours on weekdays and barely get access to it on weekends. This makes learning, practising and completing client work extremely difficult. I can't freely pursue offline jobs either because of my circumstances at home.
If anyone knows realistic ways to earn online using just a phone, please share them with me. I'm looking for genuine opportunities, skills I can learn, or services I can offer without needing constant laptop access. I don't mind starting small; I just want a practical way to earn something and gradually become independent. I'd especially appreciate advice from people who have actually earned online this way.
I want to build a peaceful life, support myself, get professional help and eventually make sure my younger siblings are okay too. But I feel stuck, and sometimes I worry that even if I manage to leave this environment, all the things I've experienced will still affect me.
What would you do in my situation? Where should I start, and how can I work towards independence without leaving my younger siblings helpless?
I couldn't share every detail here, but if you're genuinely concerned and would like to talk, I'm open to connecting privately on Instagram or another platform. I really need someone to listen and offer honest, practical advice.”
