Someone once asked...

“I'm preparing for NEET 2027, and it was entirely my decision. Nobody forced me into this. I chose to take dummy for Class 11 and 12 and decided not to join any coaching because I didn't want to put any additional financial burden on my parents or family. So, I started preparing on my own from home through online resources. But honestly, things have only been going downhill. I haven't been able to study properly till now. I wasted almost half of Class 11 and a major part of Class 12, and now it's already November. I don't want to give up, but I'm genuinely struggling to understand where to begin. I feel completely stuck. I really want to pursue this, and the expectations are even higher now because I've always been a good student academically. I don't want to disappoint my family or let them down, but at the same time, I don't know how to get myself out of this situation. I have no idea how to approach Physics and Chemistry, where to start, how to study them or even how to make proper notes. At this point, I feel like I need to start everything from absolute zero. I'm genuinely ready to put in as much hard work as it takes. I just need proper guidance and direction. Is there still a chance for me to turn things around and crack NEET 2027? Has anyone ever been in a similar situation, started from scratch and still managed to make it? I'd really appreciate any advice or guidance.”

Someone answered with kindness...

First of all, please don't lose hope. ❤️ I know things might feel overwhelming right now, especially when you look back and realise how much time has passed, but trust me, it's not over yet. The fact that you chose this path yourself, tried to avoid putting extra financial pressure on your parents and are still willing to work hard for your dream says a lot about you. But one thing I want you to understand is that feeling guilty about the time you've wasted won't bring that time back. So instead of constantly thinking about what you couldn't do in Class 11 and 12, focus on what you can do from today. And honestly, don't try to complete the entire syllabus at once. That's where most students get overwhelmed. Start from the basics, especially in Physics and Chemistry. Choose one teacher for each subject, stick to their lectures, understand the concepts properly and practise questions alongside. Don't keep switching between teachers and resources because that will only create more confusion. For Physics, build your basics first, understand the concepts and then gradually start solving questions. For Chemistry, divide it into Physical, Organic and Inorganic and approach each one differently. And for Biology, make NCERT your best friend. Read it, revise it and practise MCQs regularly. Also, please don't waste too much time making perfect notes. Make short, understandable notes that you can actually revise later. Most importantly, don't make unrealistic timetables where you suddenly expect yourself to study 14-15 hours a day. Start with achievable targets, stay consistent and gradually increase your study hours. Give regular tests so you can understand where you're improving and where you need to work harder. And yes, there is still a chance to turn things around. Nobody can promise you a selection, but November is not a reason to give up on NEET 2027. You still have an opportunity to give this your best. One more thing, please don't let the fear of disappointing your family destroy your confidence. Your parents would want you to give your best, but that doesn't mean you have to be perfect every single day. I'd also suggest that you don't try to figure out everything alone. Take guidance whenever you need it. There's absolutely nothing wrong with asking for help. I just want to say that don't give up on yourself before you've even given yourself a proper chance. Start small, stay consistent and take it one day at a time. You can still make a lot of progress. All the best! ❤️
