“I'm currently living through the last few months of my final year of school, and there's this guy in my class who has become my crush. He has absolutely no idea, though.
He's been in my class since last year. Fun fact: I didn't feel this way about him at all last year.
It all started this year when we were in the chemistry lab, conducting an experiment in groups. He happened to be in my team, and I noticed how kind and thoughtful he was. He helped a lot, and from that day onwards, I started noticing him more.
At first, I refused to accept that I had a crush on him and convinced myself that it was just admiration. Well, eventually, I realised that I did, in fact, have a little crush on this guy.
He's generally quiet but becomes talkative when he's comfortable around someone. He's a bit shy, obedient, and somewhat nerdy. He's not the type to seek attention or make himself noticeable. He just comes to class and leaves quietly.
Anyway, after that chemistry lab, he attended school for a few more days and then suddenly disappeared for two weeks. I was a little worried and wanted to know what had happened to him. I assumed that his mother's health might have worsened and that he had to take care of her because I had happened to overhear a conversation between him and another girl about his mother's condition.
Eventually, he returned, and then exam season began.
When he came back, I wanted to ask him what had happened, but I wasn't close enough to him to casually bring it up, so I didn't.
The first time I actually spoke to him was before an exam. I asked him whether he had prepared well, and we talked for a bit. Later that day, I randomly gave him a chocolate.
Well, not exactly randomly. I had actually planned it. He had helped me, and I had helped him during exams, so I thought of it as a small thank-you gift.
But this guy was so stunned when I handed it to him that he literally seemed unable to speak. And what did I do? I immediately fled the scene.
After that, we started talking occasionally before and after exams. During one of those conversations, he asked me to help him with the exam because he had been absent for two weeks and hadn't covered some of the chapters.
That's when I finally asked him why he had been absent. He explained that he had met with a minor accident while returning home from school on his bicycle one day and had injured his neck.
I knew that we probably wouldn't talk much once the exams were over, but surprisingly, even after exam season ended, he approached me and asked about my grades.
A few days later, I somehow managed to find this guy's Instagram account after being in the same class as him for an entire year. LOL.
A few days after that, he followed me back, and we started sharing reels with each other.
He was absent from school for an entire month, and during that time, we continued sharing reels and occasionally chatting. We talked about quite a few things we were interested in, like anime, dramas, our favourite genres, birthdays, and some other personal stuff. Nothing particularly serious, just friendly conversations.
Eventually, we developed this habit of religiously sharing funny reels with each other and reacting to them.
I also occasionally checked in on him to ask how he was doing, and I helped him with his notes by sharing whatever I had.
A whole month passed like this.
Then, one day, he finally returned to school.
I casually walked into the classroom that morning, took my seat, and glanced towards the place where he usually sat. I noticed someone familiar sitting there, and then I realised it was HIM.
I was genuinely surprised to see him because just two days earlier, I had asked him how he was doing, and he had sent me his medical reports. Seeing him suddenly sitting in class made me feel both excited and worried.
He had previously told me that he couldn't sit for long periods of time, and seeing him sitting in class while struggling to get comfortable made me worry about him.
I also noticed that I tend to look for him wherever I go. Somehow, my eyes just find this guy. I notice the tiniest details about him without even trying.
He actually tried to talk to me once after returning, but honestly, I've never been this nervous and self-conscious around him before. I don't know what happened to the person who could casually talk to him during exams. 😭
Now, we don't talk as much because life is getting busier day by day. We have our final examinations coming up in about three months, and he's trying to catch up on all the work he missed, just as I'm trying to manage my own responsibilities.
And here is the dilemma i am facing--- I'm wondering whether I should confess my feelings on the day of our last exam because, after that, there's a good chance I won't get to see him again.
Or should I just keep these feelings to myself and let things end naturally?
There are quite a few reasons why I'm hesitant:
- He probably sees me as nothing more than a friendly classmate. (At least, that's what I assume.)
- There's very little chance we'll meet again after school since we live quite far away from each other.
- We're both ambitious and have our own goals to pursue.
- I'm also worried that confessing might make things awkward, especially when we might not even cross paths again.
I don't expect him to feel the same way, and I'm not trying to force anything. I just don't know whether expressing my feelings would be worth it or whether keeping them to myself would be the better choice.
I genuinely want some good advice from people who have been in similar situations. I'm not looking for the usual advice about focusing on studies or forgetting about crushes because of exams. I'm already aware of those things.
Would you confess in this situation, or would you let it remain an unspoken school crush?
Sorry for the long explanation, but I felt all these details were necessary to give the full context!
Thank you for reading sweeties..”

I think you should confess. I've never been in a romantic relationship before so dont really know. But since you say that you're never probably gonna see him again I think its worth it to take a risk and confess to him. He might like you back and then it'll work out. Or if he rejects you, you said you wont see him again so I think both cases work out in your favour. Good luck!

Heyy!!
I feel like you should let it end naturally. If yoou guys are really meant for each other then fate would lead you back no matter how far you guys are.Besides, you guys are really close cuz u even send reels gurl i havent even reached that stage with mine😭
I really admire the fact that you guys have your own goals to pursue and seems like you guys understand each other really well.In my opinion,i feel like he has started seeing you as more than a friend.Yes,if u confess the whole friendship wil take a wrong turn. But i dont think you should confess but keep showing obvious signs (like gradually not all of a sudden cuz that'll be weird). And most importantly always keep in touch with him!Since you guys live far away , texting will probably be the only way u guys can connect after the last exam!
I will be rooting for ya!!
Thanks for the context i had a great time reading it!!!
