“I'm a pharmacy student in Bangladesh. I'm studying at one of the best private universities here. As a Bangladeshi, I currently hold one of the weakest passports in the world, live in the most densely populated city where theft, murder, kidnapping and rape are a part of everyday life. I'm a woman too at that, so I face misogyny a lot. Having tanned skin is also a bad thing apparently because people say it's a shame, I'm ugly and that I won't get a husband. My parents aren't wealthy, but well off. I'm studying under a merit based scholarship with 50% tuition fee waiver. This is the only thing that's helping me continue my education. I feel like I'm behind everyone else out there. Almost everyone has the grades and a side quest and I only have the grades, I can't balance a side quest along with my grades. I have the immense pressure from myself to succeed. I want to move abroad. But I don't have the money to do so. I don't have the ability to get a job here either because pharma companies here prefer men over women, considering the amount of educated jobless men out there. People marry their daughters off the moment they graduate. Many of my classmates are already married. I don't want that. I want to study more, want to learn more. I want to become a pharmacist in Australia or New Zealand but I feel so trapped. I can't depend on my parents after graduation and attempt an expensive license exam like OPRA. I feel like I'm not enough. I never had a choice. Pharmacy was something my parents chose for me and now I'm confused because I don't know what I want to specialise in. I don't know my interests other than the fact that I want to leave this place. I feel so trapped. I know my words are not arranged neatly and I can't articulate my feelings well but what do I do? I feel so hopeless. I'm also ashamed because some people have worse than me but I can't even tolerate this. I just want peace.”

Someone answered with kindness...
To whoever you are
It's okay , life feels like that sometimes and when it gets that way you must remember that there's someone you can reach out to. I feel connected to you even though I don't know you , it's just so difficult for me to imagine how people live in Bangladesh when I was privileged enough to be born here in India.
Your peace and happiness is what will matter to you when you are old and graying . So do what you feel like , break that barrier because life is too short to imagine what others will think. And you are doing good enough , just because someone is ahead of you doesn't mean they are better than you . You both aren't in the same race. Do things for yourself , most of all don't compare your pain with others . If it hurts it does , god didn't set the bar for happiness or sadness dear .
Eat something you love , talk to that friend whom you haven't contacted in a long time and just love yourself the way you are , it will all be okay . When you grow up and look back you'll see how beautiful of a tree you grew up into . I love you and there are people who loves you ( ◜‿◝ )♡
