Someone once asked...

“I'm a guy who's in love with a close friend of mine, a medical student, and I honestly can't tell if she feels the same way. We've known each other for 4 years, and she's trusted me from the start. She was in a relationship back then and has been single for about 3 years. We only started talking a lot over the last month and a half. She's very busy with studies, so she's often online but slow to reply. I usually text first, but when we do talk, she talks a lot. She keeps clear boundaries with everyone, though I don't know how warm she is with other friends. She shares personal things with me, like period irregularities and health test results. When she's sick, she sends voice notes instead of texts. I make artistic edits for her, and she posts them on Facebook and Instagram, tags me, and thanks me. She laughs at my flirty compliments and seems to enjoy them. Once I told her a story with her classmates hurt me, and she called me right away to ask what was wrong. She wasn't angry, she just wanted to understand. She also said "you care, so of course I'd tell you." But she's never said anything directly romantic. When I joke about my feelings, she laughs it off with things like "are you crazy?" Honestly, I've only shown my feelings through jokes, never directly. She also hesitated to meet me in person, but her reason was fear of classmates gossiping that she's in a relationship, not that she didn't want to see me. Her birthday is coming up, and I'm planning to gift her an engraved Littmann stethoscope and a lab coat. I don't want to confess directly right now. I'd like her to naturally realize that I love her, and I won't confess until I'm fully sure she likes me romantically too, so I don't risk losing the friendship. Do these sound like signs of romantic interest or just close friendship? Is there a good way to let her feel my love naturally without confessing outright? And how can I tell if she likes me back before I say anything.”

Hmmmm i think she doesn't want to ruin the friendship you have right now.. maybe she just wants to stay friends.. or as a best friend.. just ask her how she views you.. is she close with other guys?? Then just back off man but if she treats you specially then maybe you matter more or your friendship means a lot or she is interested just ask how she views you..
