Someone once asked...

“I'm 25 years old, and honestly, I'm feeling completely lost in life. I'm facing marriage pressure, but I don't even have a stable career yet. I don't have a job, despite continuously attending interviews and trying my best to find one. I've also been pursuing content creation for the past seven months. I've invested my time, creativity and energy into it, hoping to achieve even some basic results. But nothing seems to be working. The most painful part is that I'm not sitting idle. I'm trying different things, attending interviews, creating content and putting effort into improving my life. Yet, I keep facing disappointment. Sometimes I wonder what I'm doing wrong. Why does everything seem so difficult for me when I'm genuinely trying? I feel stuck between career pressure, marriage pressure and the fear that I'm falling behind in life. I don't want superficial motivation or someone simply telling me to be patient. I genuinely want an honest perspective. What would you advise someone who is trying so hard to change their life but isn't seeing results in any direction? How should I handle marriage pressure, career uncertainty and the feeling of being left behind at 25?”

Someone answered with kindness...

Look, I can relate to your pain because even I'm a 26 year old woman and I feel like I'm unable or don't have the means to achieve the things I want in life. But I have come to realise that there's no such thing as perfect timing or things getting magically resolved as more time passes. If you aren't getting the desirable results in a particular thing, it's more likely to be something you are doing wrong than merely a bad stroke of luck. I mean surely getting lucky is a legitimate thing. But it's only applicable when there's a situation you have no control over. So for instance, if you aren't getting enough views or making good enough money out of creating content, maybe your videos aren't mass appealing or maybe you are targeting the wrong group of people. Maybe something else is getting missed. Even when it comes to job hunt, something you are doing or not doing is preventing that success. You are trying out different things, but you haven't found out that one thing that's making it so challenging. Even if there might be everything you are doing perfectly, you probably aren't showcasing your talent to the right people or right place. So how about you try figuring out what's going wrong and fixing it instead of trying anything and everything. Smart work over hard work. Now coming to the 'how' of finding out what's going wrong, you need to consult the right people. People who are already there where you aspire to be or even a professional such as a career counselor. Their assistance is life-changing. Sometimes you could even benefit from switching your field of work. But that is only an option if you have done the things mentioned above. Now the marriage pressure part. Look bro. We are in 2026 and I'm guessing you are Gen-Z. You need to meet more people on your own terms and not give in to this pressure. You can't expect your parents who pressurize you to change. You need to stand up for yourself here. If you are willing to get married or even if you aren't but are forced into it, regardless of it you need to tell your parents that you will be taking matters into your own hands and meeting people on your own terms. Only then you can date or marry at your own pace. Don't shy away from marriage. Just reclaim back your freewill in this situation. Cheers.
