Someone once asked...

“I would like to formally bring to your attention the reasons behind my decision to vacate the company-provided Guest House at the earliest. My decision is not based on a single incident but on a series of circumstances that have made my continued stay increasingly uncomfortable and distressing. The primary concerns are as follows:   Lack of Privacy and Confidentiality: Since the beginning of my stay, I have been uncomfortable with the lack of privacy within the Guest House. Even minor conversations between residents have repeatedly reached other individuals and become topics of discussion in the open office. There have also been remarks, both verbal and written, suggesting that my accommodation could be withdrawn if circumstances did not meet someone's expectations. Repeated Pressure Regarding the POSH Matter: Ms. A repeatedly pressured me to support false allegations against Mr. S, despite having no evidence. Her repeated attempts to involve me created the impression that she was trying to misuse my name to strengthen unsubstantiated allegations and tarnish his professional reputation. When I refused to support claim I had neither witnessed nor heard, she emotionally pressured and verbally abused me, saying that I should "go to hell." Despite my clear non-involvement, she continued questioning me about my conversations with senior officials, adversely affecting my work environment. Repeated Interference and Emotional Pressure: I have experienced repeated instances of being summoned for conversations in a rude and loud manner, even after expressing my unwillingness to engage. My attempts to maintain boundaries have often been met with emotional remarks or threats of vacating the Guest House, making the living environment increasingly difficult. Unannounced Frequent Visits and Compromised Comfort of Female Residents: Mr. X frequently visits the Guest House without prior intimation, often staying for prolonged periods exceeding two hours. Later, we understand that why he has rented accommodation barely 400–500 metres from his own flat, making it convenient for both of them to visit the Guest House at any time without prior notice. The repeated and unexpected presence of an external individual, along with frequent visits by Ms. Ambika San's parents and relatives, has made the living environment uncomfortable and compromised the privacy and sense of security of the female residents. Such visits have made it increasingly difficult for us to feel at ease within the accommodation. Disturbance and Discomfort in the Living Environment: Frequent non-vegetarian cooking, loud music late at night, shouting, and disruptive behaviour, particularly during intoxication, have further affected my comfort. Even after communicating that I was unwell, I experienced pressure to participate in activities. The cumulative effect has been considerable emotional distress and anxiety, including heightened sensitivity to noise at night. Impact on Mental Well-being and Professional Efficiency: The continuous interpersonal pressure, lack of privacy, and uncomfortable atmosphere have adversely affected my mental well-being and ability to maintain peace of mind. I have increasingly felt powerless to address these concerns, given the overlap between the Guest House residents and the workplace. Demeaning Treatment of Residents: Ms. A's behaviour has repeatedly created an impression that she considers the Guest House her personal property and treats other residents as though they are dependent on her favour rather than entitled to company-provided accommodation. Her rude, loud, and authoritative manner, along with threats to vacate the Guest House whenever concerns are raised, has created a disrespectful and uncomfortable living environment. Intimidating Remarks Towards the Procurement Team: I have also witnessed both Ms. A and Mr. K. making derogatory and intimidating remarks regarding the Procurement Team, including statements that they would make the team "bow down to their knees." Such behaviour raises serious concerns regarding workplace dignity, professional relationships, and the potential negative impact on departmental coordination and work efficiency. Unprofessional Conduct and Misuse of Company Resources: Mr. K while visiting the  guest house have repeatedly made remarks suggesting that they intended to use the M project to influence the Japanese stakeholders according to their own interests, stating that they would "make the Japanese dance on their fingers." Such comments raise serious concerns about their intentions, professional conduct, and the potential misuse of the company's project relationships and resources for personal agendas. In view of the above circumstances, I no longer feel comfortable or secure continuing my stay in the existing Guest House. The decision to vacate has therefore become necessary for my mental well-being, personal comfort, and professional efficiency.   I request that these concerns be taken into consideration and that my decision to vacate the accommodation at the earliest be duly acknowledged. Do you think I should mail this to management? When I share my view to my mother that I wish to share she told me not to write these things just tell them only you are moving because of food.? I feel like even my own mother don't even understand my state of mind. It only been barely 2 yrs since I have been in job.this Ms. A is kind have a relationship with Mr. X who is around 58 yrs while she is only 28-29. This all things have disgusting me after a year of shared resident with her and one another. Now I decided to leave the guest house provided by company due to her behaviour.”
