I was wondering did Mafia things really exist like yeah we have heard about gang and all organization like russian mafia, italian Mafia and cosa nostra but how we can identify if they're really are Mafia or not? Or they operate secretly?

There is a stark difference between the noble style rulers who control a organization and a mafia that controls the country itself. The old school was tp stay partially seen and mostly hidden due to non governmental support, but then most mafias have become more organized, they have seeped into the governmental bodies in more than one way and try to control it more and more . Some old ones such as the Italian mafia still follows strict codes of conduct but others have dissolved due to newer generations taking over .
