“I was dating this person who I’m still in love with. I had to break up with him because my parents were putting extreme pressure on me to end it purely because he’s a cancer survivor and they didn’t want me to face any hardships in life if it were to come back. However it’s a very curable cancer and his doctors have said the chance of it returning is very negligible. I ended it because I couldn’t bear to watch him wait in a limbo for my parents’ approval. What do I do? It’s been a month since we broke up and I’m struggling to come to terms”

I would say i completely understand that this is an impossible situation and your parents seem to have the best intrest at heart but at the end of the day if you truly love whom you truly love and want to be with them then I think you should go for it father than regretting it later in life. I genuinely believe your parents will eventually come on board because they do love you. I wish nothing but the best for you and whatever you do decide to do in the end of will all be for good.
