Someone once asked...

“I think I might end up almost failing my math class, but it’s not because I don’t know what to do. On most of the homework I get 90s or 100s, but whenever there’s a test, I get drastically worse results. For example, on my latest test I got a 60%. The reason why that happened was because I made really stupid mistakes. One of the questions was, let’s say, -1 for the answer, I HAD NEGATIVE ONE ON MY WORK, but somehow I put 1, positive, on the *actual* answer format. I know how to do everything, I’m just horrible at taking tests. Any advice to avoid this from continuing?”

Don't worry, your challenge here is making sure you are not making small mistakes that are leading you towards scoring less. Cross check 5 times with clear head and have narration in your head for every problem you are solving. For example, you have to put a -1 in an equation, why minus one? that's how you check whether you did it right or not. Have atleast half an hour of your exam time set separate just for this crosschecking. Our human brain doesn't like mechanical stuff that's why listen to stories and remember them for long time even though we heard them once. I'm sure this narration style cross checking would solve your problem. Hope this helps!
