“I started working very recently my parents own a bar and thats where im working. Both of them before we're functioning alcoholics but my dad is a manipulative ass so even when she doesn't want to drink he gets he to.
Now that we are working at the bar I would hope they would drink less. They didn't or I should put it he didn't. My mom goes home earlier than me and my dad. He drinks while working and when shes at home. And tonight he asked if the issue was brought up to say he wasn't drinking and I did.....this time I dont think I could ever do that to my mother again but he put me on the spot and I was scared. My father gets angry when he drinks not abusive but he'll scream at you and hit things. So I didn't say anything about him drinking when she left. I dont know I feel disgusting for lying to my mom like that. I dont wanna do that again im just gonna have to tell him im not comfortable telling her a lie. Any thoughts on how to handle this?”

I think you should be honest with your mom. and depending on what your age is, if youre 16 PLUS, you should have a ocnverstaion about how you feel with the BOTH of them.
Its okay, these things happen. my father as an alcoholic too so I can understand how it must be. Slowly, but surely draw your boundaries. Unfortunately, its on you to get out of this. just be honest and that will do wonders.
