Someone once asked...

“I recently set firm boundaries and walked away from a connection where I was being treated as a low-effort option. I've chosen silence over emotional reactions, but I want to ensure my detachment is genuine. How can I completely let go of the subtle desire for them to realize their mistake, so my peace and self-worth remain entirely unbothered by their actions?”

Someone answered with kindness...

You don't. And that's the best part. The boundaries you set are actually for yourself not for the other person, they WILL cross it. It's on you to not let them, just like u did. Try communicating your needs if they still don't try to make it up to u, then u know where not to waste your time. Slowly remove yourself from their surroundings, your things, your actions, your presence, etc. You don't have to announce anything, yr just removing connections that no longer serve you coz u value yourself enough to walk away.
