Someone once asked...

“I quit university. Sigh. I quit it right after 3 semesters. And no one knows that I did. My father lost his job 3 years back. And I knew that he wouldn't be able to afford my fees. But I also wanted to quit I guess cs I made that decision way too fast?without realising long term consequences. Mainly I did it because I thought I'll get married to this one guy and what not very soon. But we broke up. And I regret all the decisions I made because they weren't even mine or for me. I made them all considering HIM. And now that he's gone I'm doomed. No one knows I had quit uni and they all think I'm about to be graduated in a few months time and economy is so bad and nothings worth it and I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO. IM A DISAPPOINTMENT. WASTED MY 3 YEARS. DID NOT DO A THING. WASTED IT all. I'm trying to look for jobs now. But I'm genuinely all over the place.”

Someone answered with kindness...

I think you need to stop being so hard on yourself. Yes, you made some decisions that you regret, and maybe you should have thought about the long-term consequences before making them, but that doesn't mean you've ruined your life. You were young, you were in love, and you imagined a future with someone. You made decisions thinking that person would be part of your life, but things didn't work out the way you expected. It happens. What's done is done, and constantly blaming yourself isn't going to bring those three years back. You still have time to figure things out. Start looking for jobs, explore whether you can continue your education, and take things one step at a time. You don't have to have your entire life figured out right now. And please, don't make your next decisions out of fear, guilt, or the need to prove something to anyone. This time, make them for yourself. You deserve to build a life that doesn't depend on whether someone stays or leaves. You're not a disappointment, you're just someone who made a few wrong turns and is trying to find their way again❤️
