“I just upset my partner over a viewpoint he considers part of his identity, and then he proceeded to insult me and find excuses to leave the conversation, so I criticised him for being avoidant (because this is a pattern now) and arguing for the sake of preserving a viewpoint, not arriving closer at the truth. He's upset with me, but I think I'm right. He will never say that I am right. He has never said that I am right, but his behaviours have changed in the past when he has lost an argument. Did I do anything wrong?”

Someone answered with kindness...
You are right. You didn’t do anything wrong. He shouldn’t make you question yourself. Arguing for the sake of being correct or preserving a viewpoint isn’t doing anything for your relationship. I’m sorry this is a reoccurring pattern.
