“I have a short-film concept that I'm currently developing, and I'd love to hear your honest opinions on it.
**Title: JUST FOR TIME**
The story is set in an engineering college classroom.
At 4:10 PM, a teacher begins taking attendance. We hear her calling out students' names, and each time, a voice responds, “Present.”
Everything seems normal, but the classroom is never shown.
When the teacher calls Meera's name, there is no response. She calls again, and the camera finally reveals the classroom.
It's completely empty except for Meera, who is sitting alone, solving the engineering problem written on the blackboard. The other students' belongings are placed on different desks, making it seem as though the entire class is present.
Meera finishes the problem, looks up and says, “Present, ma'am.”
The teacher closes the register and leaves.
At 4:15 PM, the back door opens, and the entire class walks in. Students casually take their seats, pull out their phones and settle down as if it's just another ordinary day.
Meera looks around at the now-full classroom and returns to her notebook.
The final shot is of the attendance register. Every student's name is marked present, even though most of them weren't physically there when attendance was taken.
The screen cuts to black.
**JUST IN TIME** transforms into **JUST FOR TIME.**
I'd love to know what you think about this concept.
1. Does the story make sense to you?
2. Is the reveal interesting or predictable?
3. What do you think the title JUST FOR TIME means in the context of the story?
4. Does the ending leave you with something to think about?
5. What would you change, add or remove?
Please feel free to be brutally honest. I'm looking for genuine opinions, not just appreciation!””

Someone answered with kindness...
Okay, I genuinely felt a rush of suspense reading this. The way you built up the scene without showing the classroom immediately had me curious, and the reveal definitely caught my attention. I particularly like how ordinary everything seems once the students walk in, yet there's something strangely unsettling about the whole situation. I do think the concept leaves me wanting to know more, especially what happens beyond this scene. Also, I might be getting ahead of myself, but I'd genuinely love to see how this turns out. I hope you get to bring this project to life! Although we might never get to talk again after this, I'm genuinely curious about how your film turns out. I'd love to know the final story someday.
