“I have a crush on a guy who has a girlfriend (as an mlm guy). I'm never gonna try to shoot any shots or do anything because I respect him too much as a person to treat him like that. Everything in me says it's not right. Everyone around me says he's not right for me. But I can't stop the butterflies in my stomach. He's graduating this year, and I don't want to let him go without getting to become a real friend. What do I do?”

Crushes aren't love, and you deserve love. Both to love, and to be loved. Don't chase someone who can't and won't love you the way you deserve. Love is out there for you, and you will find it, just give it time. I don't know if you're in high school or college, but... If you're in high school: Life really does begin in college, and you will meet so many new people. It will get better, just give it time and you will find someone you deserve. If you're in college: Life does not end after college. You will continue to meet so many incredible people if you try, and things will get better in ways you don't forsee. Don't think this is your last chance. And ultimately, it is okay if you don't get to become a good friend with everyone you desire to. There are people I never got the chance to become friends with, and that is a bummer but there will be other people I do have the chance for as a result of that. Life is a series of doors, and which ones are open will always be because of which doors you close. I believe in you, you're gonna get it figured out. Just give it time, trust me. ~ Someone who had to wait and close a few doors to find true love.
