just go easy on yourself. it has become a habit to sought out games series or books. try spending time with yourself. dont try to figure everything out. it really is daunting. you can start by doing what you genuinely like. ask your friends or family what are some good qualities of you that can be translated to academia. or just choose what your friends are studying, you can later figure out what you want to do. you dont necessarily want to figure things out. this is just once step and dont put so much pressure on this one step. hope this helps
