Someone once asked...

“I feel guilty for not studying for my exams this time (i have kidney stones) and my mom still expects me to eat painkillers and give exams anyways....”

✦

Someone answered with kindness...

Don't feel guilty over things you have no control about. It's not your fault if you have kidney stones (these shits are fucking painful too so), take some time for yourself, and please seek a doctor if you can because painkillers aren't going to make these go away for sure.

Every action you take costs one spoon, lets say someone with no health conditions has 10 spoons at the start of the day. They are able to spend all theyre spoons and get everything done. But, us who are start with 5 spoons. Waking up, getting ready, taking meds, going to school, doing homework. At that point we have no spoons left. Its not your fault that you have nothing to give within exams, id talk to her. If you can, be open as possible

sit down for at least an hour per day and try to get any work done. if you physically can't, either stop or pretend you are doing work when your mom comes in
