“I don't believe in a higher power, but I do believe that "belief in" is intrinsic to the human experience. How do I marry those two held concepts? I don't believe in a specific human as they are fallible. Belief in concepts such as "Hope" or "striving" never stuck with me as the correct answer.”

"Infallible" isn't a precondition for belief. You can believe in someone or something even if they aren't perfect.

Another soul answered...
There are older myths where people put belief in doing and being, despite the guaranteed lack of meaning. They believed even the gods were mortal.
That's not to say that those myths are real.
Believes are just believes. We are in a day and age where we get to choose. So this depends on what you want yours to accomplish.
