hi, catholic scientist here. I do believe in God, but exactly due to the fact that He is not human. Humans are flawed, yes, so I believe in a perfect being who created everything. And the reason I believe we were created at all is because... idk, there's something abt the universe that feels INTENTIONAL, isn't there? Do mercy and empathy sound like things that atoms could produce at random? And how could someone incapable of love ever create it? Idk, it just feels so intentional to me. Science makes sense, yes, physics and biology all follow their sets of rules, we can find patterns everywhere, but I also believe that someone must've written those rules. I do feel like a creation, and one that was made by someone who loves their craft

There are older myths where people put belief in doing and being, despite the guaranteed lack of meaning. They believed even the gods were mortal. That's not to say that those myths are real. Believes are just believes. We are in a day and age where we get to choose. So this depends on what you want yours to accomplish.
